Tavern Tasks ("we", "our", "the app") is a productivity application developed by TavernTasks. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
Data you create within the app:
If you sign in with Google (optional):
Local storage: All data you create is stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage and SecureStore. The app is fully functional without an internet connection or an account.
Cloud sync (optional): If you sign in with Google, your data may be synced to our servers to enable backup and cross-device access. Synced data is stored in a PostgreSQL database and transmitted over HTTPS.
We do not use your data for advertising, analytics, profiling, or any purpose other than delivering the app's features to you.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties. If you join a Party within the app, your display name and shared quest boards are visible to other party members.
Local data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. If you have a synced account, server-side data is retained until you request deletion.
Tavern Tasks is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Authentication tokens are stored using device-level secure storage (Expo SecureStore). All network communication uses HTTPS encryption. We take reasonable measures to protect your data, but no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.

Tavern Tasks stores all data locally on your device. Simply uninstall the app or clear app data in your device settings to remove everything.
Follow these steps to delete your account and all synced data:

Account deletion requests are processed within 7 business days. You will receive a confirmation email once your data has been deleted.

How do I earn XP and Gold?
Complete quests (10–250 XP based on priority), track daily habits (15 XP), and finish Pomodoro focus sessions (20 XP). Gold is earned alongside XP.
Do I need an account?
No. Tavern Tasks works entirely offline with local storage. Google Sign-In is optional and enables cloud backup and cross-device sync.
How do I delete my data?

What are streak freezes?
Each habit starts with 3 streak freezes. If you miss a day, a freeze is used automatically to preserve your streak.
